Rev. Galagodaatthe Gnanasara Thero has been convicted by the Court of criminal intimidation for forcibly breaking into a press conference held by Rev. Watareka Vijitha Thero.
Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage ordered Gnanasara Thero to pay a fine of Rs. 300,000 after pleading guilty to the offence.
The case was filed on 09 April 2014, alleging that he had illegally entered a press conference organized by the National Bala Sena.
