Police have arrested a woman who was arrested on a drug offence and was hiding a pack of items in a secret area to give it to her husband who was lodged in the prison of The Kotwila Court.
The arrested suspect was produced before the Magistrate and sentenced to six months rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs. 1500.
A mobile phone and a battery charging it, a piece of tobacco, were found in the suspect's secret area.
The arrest was made by the Kotwila Police.
